Face time

Face time

One of the things I've really enjoyed in this season of my life is Face Time...Its something thats been around for quite a while...and when I first got my i-phone I did just so I could do it.  You know call someone just so you could say you've done it and you spend the whole conversation going "Wow!  This is really cool!"  If you're not familiar with this technology, its like a phone call, but you can see the person you're talking to.  Works best on an I-pad (bigger screen) but works pretty nicely on an iphone as well.

In this season, its been great.  Good to see a group of friends all at once...you feel like you're a part of a group despite distance separation...its especially been wonderful to keep up with the nieces and nephews that way...Such a blessing..

Face-time has me thinking this morning about my prayer life.  Its great to talk to God...in fact its the only thing that gets me through some days..but can you imagine what face time with God is going to be like.   Paul sounds like an early Apple guy in 1 Corinthians 13:12 when he says "For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."  There's going to be a time when we get to face time with God and we aren't going to be separated by miles but instead we will be face to face.  That's got to be the best part of heaven....the opportunity to be face to face with the creator of the universe.  I long for that day.  For now, we've got to be content with the opportunity to call anytime 24 hours a day and know that it will be answered...but oh for that glorious day.

Great thought. What is cool with Face Time is you are one on one - how cool to one day have one on one face time with God. Think f the questions you have always wanted to ask. Thanks for the word picture. We miss you.

Brad Butler, only you would refer to Paul as an "early Apple kind of a guy!" (Never, in my wildest dreams would I have concocted that one!) Lamar & I think of you & speak of you often -- you have planted many seeds of thought inside our hearts & minds. You are in our prayers.
