Royal National Park; Sydney, NSW, Australia

"Aussie, Aussie, Aussie...Oi, Oi, Oi"...I can still hear the kids cheering..For five months of my life, between college and seminary, the Port Hacking Campsites in the Royal National Park was home.  It was my first missionary experience and one that changed me in so many profound ways.  I loved teaching abseiling (rapelling) for hours on end... I loved working with some of the most amazing people I've ever been blessed to be around... I loved the UNBELIEVABLE beauty of the place I worked... I loved being remote enough not to have electricity (only a generator...that has now changed) and being closer to town by kayak than by road. yet still being able to see the Sydney skyline..I loved teaching and showing Jesus, in Christian Discovery and on the cliffs...I loved Friday afternoon meetings and then getting in the boat and pulling up to a fish and chips place and then eating the fish and chips in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...I loved seeing kangaroos the way we see deer in the States...I loved going to St. George Dragon rugby matches...I loved playing a little rugby myself...I loved the way I came to knew Jesus in a deeper and more meaningful way...WOW....Does the RNP have some memories...

Anglican Youth Works does an amazing job of showing the love of Jesus to children...I feel so blessed to have been a part of their ministry and I'm always hoping for some more time down under.  When you are working in a place where only 3% of the population is involved in Bible-believing churches, the fields are ripe...I pray a mighty work for the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.

So there you go with spot #3..the Royal National Park..natural beauty in the shadow of one of the best cities on Earth
