Lake J

Lake J

Just got back from a weekend in Lake Junaluska, North Caralina!  Had an amazing time sharing with kids, watching lives changed, laughing lots, rafting, enjoying LJ's amazing staff, eating not so healthy/not so good food in Jones Cafeterina, eating very healthy/very good food at the Willis cabin, and really enjoying Eddie, Ally, and the kids.  God is so good to us and he really seems to show up as we seek His face.  Imagine that huh.....

At any rate, thanks to everybody!  Please let me hear from you....I've copied below a letter I had waiting on me when I got back...Can't tell you what your words mean Daniel.  Thanks!

Mr. Butler I just wanted to let you know how much you had an impact on my life through Christ. I just recently attended the power surge weekend at Lake Juneleska and you really opened my eyes to Christ. I have never really ever been a real faithful follower of Christ but you helped me to see to put all my faith in him. I also thank you because while I was down there i decided to rededicate my life to Christ cause I have done some stuff that Im not proud of. I thank you for opening my eyes and realizing that God is true and he is there. My heart is beating with yours for Christ. I just want to let you know also as a resident of Mississippi I am very proud to have you as a representitive of this fine state even though no matter where we are from we are all GOD'S children. I just wanted to let you know how much of an impact you had on my life. I really appreciate it and will pray for you and will support you through anything. THANKS

Hey Brad. Hope all is well with you and your ministry. I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming to lake J this past weekend. It was so awsome to see God work through you. I had just returned on the first from a mision trip down to Gueatemala. I saw Dios (God) do some really amazing things down there. Then after coming back to the states i had one day at home and then left for lake J. After all the amazing things i saw God do down there i thought that i was going to be kinda numb to seeing miricals, but i was wrong. Several people from my youth group rededicated there lift to Christ. I actually prayed a very simple prayer on the way up there because i felt as if God was calling me into the mission field. I prayed that he would show me that weekend if that was what he wanted me to do and HE DID. I just have one question thought. How can i be sertain that is what he wants me to do? But thanks so much for coming and letting God work through you. (the song that you sang on the last day in spanish about Gods love is great great great really touched me because we also sang it in Gueatemala) Hope to see you again sometime, but untill then i can know we are always together in some ways (our hearts beat together and our hearts beat for God) and will hopefully see each other in Heaven.
